Tewaaraton Announces New Selection Committee Members and Libby Perry as their Spring Intern for 2005

TEWAARATON AWARD FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES:
Washington, DC

Libby Perry Announced as Intern for Spring 2005

The Tewaaraton Award Foundation named Libby Perry as their intern for the spring of 2005. She will assist Director Liz Terry with the awards ceremony in June and fundraising throughout the season as well as maintain the Foundation's website. She will also send out a monthly newsletter.

Libby is from Summit, NJ where she attended Kent Place School and played tennis, basketball, and lacrosse. She is currently a junior at Georgetown University in Washington, DC where she plays on the club lacrosse team. She is looking forward to working with the Tewaaraton Aaward Foundation and extending her involvement with the sport of lacrosse.

Tewaaraton Announces New Men's and Women's Selection Committee Members

There are three new members of both the men's and women's selection committee for the spring of 2005. Joining the men's committee are Jack Emmer from the US Military Academy, Greg Cannella from the University of Massachusetts, and Mike Pressler from Duke University. On the women's side, Karen MacCrate of CW Post, Amy Patton of Dartmouth, and Amy Umbach of George Mason University will join the selection committee. The Foundation looks forward to their input over the 2005 season.

About The Tewaaraton Award Foundation:

The Tewaaraton Award Foundation, in conjunction with the University Club of Washington, D.C., formally established the Tewaaraton Trophy on August 29, 2000. Today, the Tewaaraton Trophy is recognized as the pre-eminent lacrosse award honoring the top female and male varsity collegiate lacrosse player in the United States. The Foundation honors lacrosse, the original and oldest American sport, through the Tewaaraton name and by promoting the game through the award.
