Rachel Abrahams to Serve as Intern for 2006

The Tewaaraton Award Foundation named Rachel Abrahams as its intern for the spring of 2006. Rachel is currently a sophomore at Georgetown University, where she is studying psychology and Spanish. Additionally, she is a student-worker in the Sports Information Office at Georgetown where she assists with press releases and works as part of the statistics crew at many university sporting events. She also is a staff writer for the sports section of the school's biweekly newspaper, The Hoya.

Rachel is from Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania where she attended Lower Merion High School. She played soccer and lacrosse as well as worked on the sports section of the yearbook during her junior and senior years.

As an intern, Rachel will work under Director Liz Terry in order to put together the awards ceremony in June, publish the monthly newsletter, maintain the website and aid in fundraising initiatives.
