FORMER U.S. OLYMPIC COMMITTEE CEO AND WORLD LACROSSE LEADER JIM SCHERR JOINS TEWAARATON FOUNDATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Tewaaaraton Foundation is pleased to announce that Jim Scherr, former CEO of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and current CEO of World Lacrosse, has joined its Board of Directors.

A former Olympic wrestler and national champion at the University of Nebraska, Scherr brings decades of leadership and experience. As an athlete, he was a two-time All- American, and represented the United States at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Scherr served the U.S. Olympic Committee as the organization's first former Olympian CEO from 2003-2009.
Scherr currently serves as the CEO of World Lacrosse, where he has helped lead the return of lacrosse to the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska, and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
