TEWAARATON AWARD PRESENTED BY STIFEL ANNOUNCES 2025 MEN’S AND WOMEN’S FINALISTS

WASHINGTON DC, May 8 – The Tewaaraton Foundation is pleased to announce the five men’s and five women’s finalists for the 2025 Tewaaraton Award Presented By Stifel. The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the preeminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. These 10 student-athletes have been invited to Washington, D.C., for the annual Tewaaraton Award Ceremony on May 29.

On the women’s side, 2024 Tewaaraton Finalist and 2025 B1G Attacker of the Year Madison Taylor (Northwestern) returns, joining four first-time finalists: ACC Attacker of the Year Rachel Clark (Boston College), ACC Goalie of the Year Shea Dolce (Boston College), and first-team All-ACC attackers Ashley Humphrey (UNC) and Chloe Humphrey (UNC), the first women’s freshman finalist.
On the men’s side, 2023 Tewaaraton Finalist, 2025 Ivy League Player of the Year and No. 1 overall Premier Lacrosse League Draft pick (Philadelphia Waterdogs) CJ Kirst (Cornell) returns, joining four first-time finalists: ACC Offensive Player of the Year and No. 10 PLL Draft pick (California Redwoods) Chris Kavanagh (Notre Dame), first-team All-Ivy attackman and No. 18 PLL Draft pick (Utah Archers) Sam King (Harvard), first-team All-Ivy attackman and No. 4 PLL Draft pick (Boston Cannons) Coulter Mackesy, and Patriot League Player of the Year Jackson Eicher (Army).

The Tewaaraton recipients will be chosen at the conclusion of the 2025 college lacrosse season by selection committees comprised of premier college coaches who are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
