Tewaaraton Foundation Announces 2026 Women’s Nominees Presented by Stifel

April, 16, 2026 - WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Tewaaraton Foundation has announced the 2026 Women’s Nominees for the Tewaaraton Award presented by Stifel. The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the preeminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are composed of premier college coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.

 

Five women’s finalists will be selected from this group, to be announced May 7 at the conclusion of the regular season. They will be honored May 28 at the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Ceremony presented by Stifel at the Andrew W Mellon Auditorium, in Washington D.C.

The women’s Tewaaraton Award Nominees include players from 14 different schools, led by four from North Carolina and three each from Johns Hopkins, Maryland, and Syracuse. Five players return from last year’s list of Nominees, including 2025 Tewaaraton Award winner Chloe Humphrey (UNC) and two-time Tewaaraton Finalist and No. 1 Women’s Lacrosse League Draft pick Madison Taylor (Northwestern).

The 2026 Tewaaraton Watch List was announced Feb. 10, with the first round of additions being announced March 5 and a second round of additions March 26.The 25 Men’s Nominees for the 2026 Tewaaraton Award Presented by Stifel will be announced April 18 live on ESPNU.
